It is with a deep sense of loss that we announce the death of Agathe Aimée Huot (née Phaneuf) at the age of 100 years. Agathe was a wonderful woman whose bravery and sense of adventure lasted to her last breath. She combined this with a refinement and gentleness of spirit rarely found. Agathe touched the lives of many; her family, friends, and Suzuki piano students. We were all the better for having known her.
Agathe is survived by her four children, Michelle, Robert (Leanne), John, and Monique (Denis), their children and grandchildren, her sister Gisèle Filion, and her dear friend, Jean De Champlain. She inspired an outpouring of love and affection up to her last hours and will be sorely missed. The world is a poorer place without her.
