In the 1980s, he earned his Master of Divinity from Saint Stephen's College at the University of Alberta.

They later moved to Edmonton in 1967, Red Deer in 1973, Calgary in 1980, and finally to Fort Saskatchewan in 1990. After officially retiring in 1993, Albert volunteered with the Pioneer Lodge and continued to provide relief ministry to Eastern Alberta and Lamont Pastoral Charges until 2013.
