Brian Nicholas Kostiuk

1952-2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Nicholas Kostiuk announces his passing.

Brian will be lovingly remembered by his children and stepchildren, Airin (Brent), Leah (Travis), Megan (Colin), and Alan (Tamara). His grandchildren, Skyla, Cohen, Olivia, Odin, Mallory, Cooper and Harper will all miss their Papa dearly. Brian is also survived by loving family members and dear friends.

He was predeceased by the love and light of his life, Mary-Ann; his parents, Nick and (Mina) Bernice; his sister, Barb; his brother, Darrel; and his brother-in-law, Wayne.

Brian had a deep love for music and reading, and had a wicked sense of humour. His creativity, attention to detail and habit of making simple things complicated showed through his love of carpentry and cooking. Before Mary-Ann’s passing, Brian could be found volunteering alongside her in each of the communities they lived in over the years (and there were many). While they will miss him immensely, his family celebrates his reunion with his beloved.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local food bank in recognition of Brian and Mary-Ann’s community involvement, and that you consider raising a glass of something (preferably tequila) in the couple’s honour.
