He was predeceased by his loving sons, Herman and Zane; his brothers, Ervin, Darryll, and Ronald; his sister, Teena; his parents, Herman and Jean, as well as his best pal, Buddy, the neighbourhood dog of Langley Drive.
David was born, raised, and retired in and around the Hardisty area. He spent most of his years settling his roots and his family in the Fort Saskatchewan area where he opened Dave’s Small Engine Repair becoming Dave, the small engine guy. When he wasn’t tinkering, Dave was always up for a good card game, camping, or boating, and especially loved the time spent hunting and fishing with his nephew Jay. David was also passionate about classic cars, spending much of his spare time travelling around, visiting various cars shows. You could also be sure to find David checking out any auction he may have come across.
In everything David did, he created a story. He was a storyteller at heart, using each moment to share his love for life, his family, and his friends.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Gibbons RV Storage, 23230 TWP 561A, Gibbons, Alberta.
