It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Francis Charles “Bing” McIsaac, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Fort Saskatchewan Hospital on July 7, 2025, at the age of 91.
Bing was the beloved husband of Lorraine Germain McIsaac, with whom he shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, family, and quiet strength—raising a close-knit and caring family who continue to reflect the values they lived by.
Bing was born to Vernon and Anna McIsaac (both predeceased) and was one of five children. He is predeceased by his brothers Richard and Wilbert, and his sister Ellen (Paradis). He is survived by his sister Verna (Theroux).
He was a proud and devoted father to Dan (Karen, predeceased), Doug (Audrey), Gail, Randy (Barb), Russ, and Alan (Tammy). Bing was a cherished grandfather to Jason (Ashley), Steven, Jeffrey, Jordan, Travis (Liz), Cody (predeceased)(Nicole), Devin (Regan), Alex (Mallory), Brittney (Jacob), Dustin, and Brandon, and a proud great-grandfather of eight with more on the way.
Bing lived at his acreage home, a place he loved deeply, right up until the final few days of his life. He had a lifelong passion for aviation, and piloting was one of his greatest joys. Whether in the air or on the ground, Bing approached life with quiet adventure, humility, and deep dedication to those around him.
His steady presence, dry wit, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones, share a story, and take a moment to look up at the sky—a simple and fitting tribute to a man who found joy in flight soaring among the clouds.
A celebration of Bing’s life will be announced at a later date.
Rest easy, Bing. May the skies be smooth and the winds at your back
