Liebe Undine, Justin und Chris mit Euren Familien,

eine traurigere Nachricht hätte uns nicht erreichen können. Ich bin so unheimlich froh und stolz, Jeff und Euch kennen gelernt zu haben. Als ich vor knapp 25 Jahren für einige Monate bei Euch sein durfte, begann für mich eine komplett neue Erfahrung, die mich bis heute begleitet und nicht mehr loslässt. Jeff gab mir in dieser Zeit so viel mit, und lehrte mich, stolz und vor allem zufrieden zu sein! Diesen Stolz und diese Zufriedenheit hat Jeff jeden Tag gezeigt, auf eine ganz besondere und vor allem bescheidene Art und Weise. Ehrlich gesagt, solch einen besonderen, zufriedenen und bescheidenen Menschen habe ich danach nicht wieder getroffen. Das Wohl seiner Familie lag ihm am Herzen, seine „kleine Farm“ war seine Profession. Seine Weitsicht, sein Wissen waren einzigartig, er war ein stolzer Farmer mit einem unvorstellbaren Schatz an Wissen und Empathie für Natur und Menschen. Liebe Bork‘s, ihr könnt stolz auf Euren Jeff sein! Wir werden ihn vermissen, aber nie vergessen. Dir Undine, und Euch, Justin, Janin, Emma und Kate, Chris und Kenzie und allen Angehörigen wünschen wir unser herzlichstes Beileid und Mitgefühl, aber auch Zuversicht.

To know Jeff was to love him.  Such an easy nature, kind, gentle and so easy to be with.  My fondest memory was our trip to Guadalajara.  When Jeff got bored shopping, he was off walking and discovering on his own.  Never rushing us.  I was so looking forward to seeing him in December.  I will remember you forever.  Love to you Undine and the rest of the family.

Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Jeff.  May he rest in peace .  Having growing up in the Chipman area and being neighbors  I remember the strong work ethic of the Bork family.

My sincerest condolences to your family on the passing of Jeff. I did not know him personally but did know his reputation as a top-notch farmer . May memories provide  you comfort as you grieve. God grant him eternal rest. Vichnia Pamyat.

Jeff was my uncle and godfather. He was uniquely inspiring: for his work ethic, humour and intelligence. He was an amazing storyteller. He always had observations about the news, politics, and history that got to the heart of things. 

I remember him at Touchwood Lake, building impressive campfires that looked like flaming Jenga towers. As a teenager I once brought my facewash down to the beach, and Jeff mentioned his own skincare. I thought maybe he was making fun of me, until he proudly showed up the next day with his own apricot scrub. 

I remember him in Cabo, reading and swimming. He went to the beach and into the ocean where the surf was usually rowdy and no one else was swimming, so that’s where I swam too. I think about that water all the time, and Jeff smiling, just bobbing peacefully in the crazy waves. 

My favourite memory is when Jeff met my first son. Jasper was born during Covid so his arrival was quiet and isolated, and when Jeff met him at the farm, I wasn’t prepared for his outward joy. He was so genuine, so proud to welcome this little guy to the family. It was a pure reflection of how much Jeff valued his sons and his granddaughters, his legacy. 

My brother and I will always reference Jeff. He was true family for us, and he’s irreplaceable.

I love Rigg’s memory  of Jeff on a rented scooter laughing his way down the Baja 😜. This embodies him perfectly. Uncle Jeff was ridiculously fun, wickedly smart, kind and loving.

Liebe Undine, 
Sehr traurig höre von Jeffs Tod. Mein herzliches Beileid Dir, den Kindern und Susi. Ich erinnere ihn als so fröhlichen, tatkräftigen Familienmensch mit Ups und downs, zugewandt und stark. Nun ist er nach schweren Zeiten hoffentlich in einer besseren, leichteren Welt angekommen. Euch fehlt er natürlich und das tut mir sehr leid, Du hast wirklich sehr kämpfen und tapfer sein müssen und er sicher auch. 

Johann war so gerne bei Euch - und liess mich immer mal hören was Ihr macht. Bleibt getrost trotz dieses Verlustes. Bitte sag Susi sehr herzliche Grüße von mir - und mein tief empfundenes Beileid.
