She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gerard (Gilberte), Robert (Pauline), Louis (Barb), Brian (Diane), David (Bernadette), Jacqueline (Ted), and Christine (Bradley); as well as her 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Maria was predeceased by the father of her children, Alberic Ringuette; her son, Randy Ringuette; siblings, Alec, Nick, Tina, Jenny, David, Peter, Dianne, John, and Nickolas; her parents, Tichon and Fevrona; and her stepfather, John Seminowich.
Maria was born in Wostok, Alberta, on August 26, 1930, and lived in various parts of Alberta throughout her life. She resided in Lac La Biche before moving to Sherwood Park to live with her daughter Christine during the final years of her life. She was a beautiful, hardworking, and loving mother who always put her children first. Maria will be remembered for her love of gardening, flowers, nature, cooking, and watching dance and soccer. She leaves behind a legacy of wisdom, strength, and playfulness.
A blessed burial will be held at the Hylo Cemetery on March 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
