Oh, how many times I heard the line "So where you from?"!
Nick was such a special man that took such joy and interest in those around him. I consider myself lucky to have known him.  The world has lost an extraordinary man and Heaven has gained a special angel.

As new people to Mesa Verde and Nick and Nancy as our neighbours, we had struck gold.  Nick was always there to give a helping hand, provide needed tools and parts to set things up, and always with a smile.  He led a very busy life and told great stories about it. When Nick was on hand in a group, even the younger folks were mesmerized by his accomplishments and his stories.  He loved his family and talked about them often and how proud he was.  He will be missed by all of those who knew him.  Our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this sad time.

Once in a while into this life of ours, someone enters our hearts so unexpectedly.  We were truly blessed to have this happen to us when Eileen brought Nick to our house after a trip to the farm.
As Eileen introduced her Dad to us, Nick walked through the door, and right away, his smiling face that stretched from his eyes to his mouth had us under his spell.  He sat down at the kitchen table, as if he had been doing it for years, and we shared coffee, banana bread, stories and laughs like old friends. 
We met occasionally over the years, and it was always a joy to be in his company.  
Nick is may be gone, but he leaves behind such a wonderful loving family, and the admiration of friends old and new. 
To Nancy and the family; our heartfelt love and prayers go out to you at this very sad time.

BIDULOCK FAMILY,
I'ts been many years since I had contact with this family but there are a few memories I would like to share with the family, especially with one of my first students (Johnny) in my first year of teaching in Hairy Hill.  Yes this was a wonderful loving family and it was my first, to be invited to a student's birthday party. I have never forgotten your place right under the big hill.  My brother, Peter Jablonski, had mentioned meeting Johnny and I do not know if he passed on my hello. Your dad lived a happy, fruitful life and I believe that it was friendliness and helping, working hands and heart that were accountable for his longevity. Love hurts and his loss will be painful but you will be very thankful for having had a father like him.  My prayers for your family in loss.

We're sorry we couldn't be there to mourn your loss, and celebrate Uncle Nicks life, in person. We'll miss his easy chuckle and kind words, always interested in what us younger(?) folks were up to. Dear Nancy and Family
We are saddened to hear that Nick, your beloved husband, father and grandfather has passed away.
No truer words can describe Nick than that of "Mr. Fix-it". I recall that when I first got to know him more than six decades ago as our new neighbor, I was in awe of his ability in fixing things, primarily because of an extraordinary  mind for analysing how things worked. Further, I as well recall that Nick had the ability to explain in understandable terms complex mechanical problems and solutions. In his time Nick truly was 'a mechanic's mechanic'.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

The passing of a loving and loved parent is always hard,  at any age. There must be something special  about bus drivers- one of my favourite uncles drove bus  for years. May the ceebration of your Dad's life be a time of  comforting reflection
