Susie (Stevens) Casero

11 April 2021

I was lucky enough to call Penny my godmother, and Hugh my godfather. I have so many fond memories... Penny took me to my first movie in Vancouver when I was a little girl. We saw the Carebears movie. I remember that she braided my hair and got me all dressed up, as it was a big event. I also remember intense games of Ants in the Pants with both Penny and Hugh, sitting at their kitchen table with the large beautiful trees just outside the glass window. Penny would pick me up by ferry and take me back home to stay for a few days while mum visited with family. I am sorry not to have gotten the chance to see her in more recent years, but it brings me warmth to know that she is back with her dear Hugh, now both listening to Fly me to the Moon. I know they must be laughing together in heaven, finally reunited and on their next adventure. With love, Susie (Stevens) Casero
