It was with sorrow that I heard of Bob's passing. He was cousin to my Father, Norman Byford, and second cousin to me. We were in email contact and he passed along so wonderful jokes and beautiful sayings. We spoke on the phone many times as well. He will be greatly missed.

Sending my heart felt condolence to Bob's family.
Bob was trully special ! Bob definitely had a wonderful sense of humour. Always appreciated and looked forward to his emails that I received via my first cousin Norma related to me by our mutual grandmother caroline (Carrie). Bob was so faithful in sending us jokes and so many different thought provoking stories different themes and historical information on so many different subjects. He made me smile often chuckling at the humor in a lot of what he sent. It just simply brought joy at a time that found its way into the moments when we all need it most. Bob is sadly and surely missed.
Yours truly,
2nd cousin

Bob was planning a visit to Montreal that was put off due to covid. We all were looking forward to that visit. I talked to Bob and remembered days gone by. He had an amazing memory and "joie de vivre". I was shocked to hear of his passing. My sympathy to all of his family. Thank-you and rest in peace Bob.

To Bob’s family

I was very lucky to get to know Bob this past year. I received many emails, which made me laugh and some sentimental ones that I found very touching.

My grandmother Carrie and Bob’s mum Bertha were sisters. So my dad Len was a first cousin to Bob.

We reminisced a lot about NDG and what those earlier years were like. I will miss him.

He was planning a trip to Montreal and if it were not for Covid we all would have pulled it off.

What a wonderful picture of him, so full of life I just can’t believe he has gone.

We are thinking of all the family at this time and sending our love and prayers.

He had a lot of stories about his family and I am sure you all know how much you were all thought of and loved.
