Mr. Roger “Rod” Paquette, late of Gibbons, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the age of 93 years, in Redwater Health Centre. He is survived by his loving family; daughter, Deb De La Mare of Nanton; son, Tim Paquette of Nanaimo; 10 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Eileen; his daughters, Melody, Sharon, Sandy and son, Dan.
Roger “Rod” was a 68 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion after serving as a sergeant in Coastal Defense during World War II.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015, at 11:00 am at First Memorial Riverivew Chapel with Father Ashok officiating. Donations in his memory gratefully accepted to the Royal Canadian Legion, Gibbons Branch 226.
