She will be greatly missed by her Siblings, Bob (Kim), Danny (Arlene), Doug (Marlene), Kathy (Brian), Daughters, Coleen (Brian), Lesley (Real) of Sundre, Grandchildren, Wyatt (Lori-ann) Kayla, Tyler, Nathan, Alyssa, Great-Grandchildren Matthew, Tyson, Brooklynn, Lucas, Gage, and Kyrin, hockey pals Ken and Lorraine Briggs along with many friends and relatives.
She was predeceased by her Dad, Mom, Brother, Daughter Shannon and her loving husband of 48 years, Garry.
Honest, compassionate, funny, strong, courageous, loving, and reliable are all qualities Sharon possesed. Sharon had passion for the Legion, where she worked for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending her spare time there visiting with friends, participating in weekly meat draws, along with counting poppies for Remembrance Day each year. Sharon loved playing cards with her friends on Monday nights, and it was very unlikely any of those nights were ever missed, nor be forgotten. Sharon loved to be online whether it was shopping, playing games, talking on facebook, sharing many recipes and crafts. She loved to crochet, spending a lot of her time making her family blankets, hats, booties, scarves, and of course, the notorious dishcloths and potholders. She also donated much of her work to the Royal Alex Hospital for NICU babies. Sharon loved sports, especially when curling was in season. Sharon was full of life, lived and fought hard for her family, she will be greatly missed by us and the community as a whole.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
Our Death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us; our bodies are only the wilted leaves on the tree of life. -Albert Einstein
