Sharon Grace Unruh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sharon Grace Unruh (Neufeld), who passed away peacefully in hospital on Saturday March 8, 2025, at the age of 62. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments, with the joy of the Lord in her heart, knowing she was going home to be with her Heavenly Father. Her faith inspired everyone around her and gave her strength through life’s challenges.

Sharon was born on September 7, 1962, in Westlock, AB to David and Janet Neufeld. She was the devoted wife of Doug Unruh for 24 years. Sharon was the proud and loving mother of Jamie (Kris) Neufeld, William (Celina) Waldron, and Jennifer (Sam) Jago. Her guidance and warmth shaped their lives in countless ways.

As a grandmother, Sharon was a source of endless love and joy to her four grandchildren, Jacob, Grace, Chase, and Annie, who adored her dearly. Sharon is survived by her siblings, Pat (Rick), Bev, and sister-in-law, Kathy, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is now reunited with her parents, brothers - Gerald (Celina), Delbert, and brother-in-law, Brad.

Sharon had a gift for caring for others, which she shared through her work as a home care aide. Her compassion and willingness to go above and beyond touched the lives of so many. She had a unique ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved.

She was adventurous and full of life, with a great sense of humour that could light up any room. She loved gardening, camping, going for bike rides and exploring the beauty of nature.

Sharon will be remembered for her kind heart, her adventurous spirit, her faith, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of her life will be held at Fort Saskatchewan Alliance Church, 9935 93 Avenue, Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation is sent to PALM ministries through Fort Saskatchewan Alliance Church.
