Stormy was an optometrist in Fort Smith, retiring in 2007 after 54 years. He was a Navy Veteran, and he was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher for 53 years. Stormy was a free Mason, 32 degree Scottish Rite, a member of Bell Point Lodge #20, and a member of Amrita Grotto. He was also an active member of Kiwanis International for over 60 years. He graduated from Fort Smith High School. He attended Westark Junior College in Fort Smith, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. He belonged to various fraternities.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat; one daughter, Staci Goodman and her husband Cole of Fort Smith; three sons, Steve Jenkins and his wife Carla of Little Rock, Jeff Jenkins and his wife Veronica of Fort Smith and Jerry Jenkins and his wife Jennifer of Fort Smith; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church. Burial of cremains will be by private family service at Oak cemetery prior to the Celebration of Life Service. Services and cremation are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will visit with friends following the service in the church narthex.
