Adrian Hopson

Adrian Hopson, 67, of Roland, died Sunday in Fort Smith. He was born September 7, 1945 in Johnson City, TN to the late Earnest and Nora Elizabeth Scarborough Hopson. He was a salesman for RPM Enterprises, President of Roland, OK School Board, a member of First Baptist Church of Roland, taught Sunday school for 25 years at First Baptist Church in Muldrow and was a member of the Liar’s Club at the 4 Star Diner in Roland. He is survived by his wife Glenda ; four sons, Jason Hopson of Roland, Adrian Jr, Gary and Hoss Hopson all of Johnson City, TN; three daughters, Kathy Price, Rosanne Freeman and Lisa Collins, all of Johnson City, TN; a grandson Chandler Hopson of Roland, several other grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, one son and a great grandson. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Roland. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Muldrow. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jackie Williams, Wilson Fargo, Tommy Click, Jonathan and Zachary Moore, Todd Lenington, Tony Sharp and Monte Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, Roland School Administration and School Board members. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Roland, 203 Carson Rd, Roland, OK 74954.
