

Annie Justice, 104 and one of Fort Smith’s oldest residents, passed from this life September 3, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born November 19, 1910 in Fort Smith to the late Burt and Annie Thompson Stewart. Annie was a member of the 1929 graduating class of Lincoln High School and was trained, by her sister, as a beauty operator. She worked at Stewart Barber Shop, in Fort Smith, until 1943. Annie had been a member of Eastern Star and was active in many other civic organizations. She was a long time member of Ninth Street Baptist Church.
Annie is survived by her four sons, Willis M. Justice of Salt Lake City, Utah, Hiram G. Justice of Fort Smith, Ledro R. Justice, MD of Van Buren and Ronald V. Justice of Edwardsville, Illinois. She also leaves four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willis Chester Justice, as well as four sisters and three brothers.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday, September 11, 2015 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Theodore Dodson. Burial will follow at Oak Cemetery.
