Armaleta D Jones

Surrounded by her loving family, Armaleta D. Jones of Fort Smith, Arkansas went to be with her Lord on January 7, 2017. She was born on May 16, 1928 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Armaleta was preceded in death by her husband J.L. Jones of Fort Smith, her parents Paul and Agnes Seymour of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and her brother, Allen D. Lewis of Sherman, Texas.

Armeleta is survived by her three children: two daughters, Lecia Pelphrey and her husband Steve of Rogers, Arkansas and Rhonda Pritchett and her husband Barney of Greenwood, as well as one son, Steve Jones and his wife Annatta of Fort Smith.

Armaleta enjoyed her nine grandchildren: Jonathan and his wife Ira Pelphrey of Rogers, Jennifer and her husband Pete Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma, Joel and his wife Jane Pelphrey of Fayetteville, Byron Pritchett of Greenwood, Barry Pritchett of Fort Smith, Eric and his wife Jennifer Jones of Elkins, Lori and her husband Tim Conn of Springdale, Cindy and her husband Robbie Ridley of Greenwood and Brent and his wife Rachel Jones of Fort Smith.

Armaleta was also blessed with sixteen great grandchildren: Darya, Vera and Alex Pelphrey, Christopher Pritchett, Katie Jones, Brad, Jessica and Jason Richardson, Trent, Samantha, Tyler and Elizabeth Conn, Brett and Caroline Jackson, and Ryan and Drew Ridley.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:00pm Monday, January 9, 2017 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
