Barbara King Miller, 94, of Fort Smith passed from this life on March 16, 2026. She was born on August 18, 1931, to Ira Love King and Jewel Cox King in Mansfield, Arkansas. Barbara was a longtime member of Westark Church of Christ.
Barbara had a passion for quilting and sewing, and she truly enjoyed playing cards. Her friends and family were the center of her world. Barbara loved to shine, both through her personality and her jewelry, and she always sparkled in life.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard D. Miller, son Richard S. Miller, and Brothers Phillip and Kenneth King.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters Gail Clayton and husband Jim of Greenwood, and Connie Tanner and husband Ronny of Van Buren; daughter in law Sally Miller of Barling; grandchildren, Paul Miller, Charleigh English and husband Shawn, Kathleen Clayton, Daniel Elkins and wife Mary, Michael Elkins and wife Stephanie, Chance Tanner and wife Brittany, and Chelsi Fondren and husband Perry; as well as great-grandchildren, Brooke, Austin, Alyssa, Jackson, Luke, Uriah, Waylon, Hannah, Weston, Jimmy, Hailey, and Presley.
Visitation will take place from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, March 19th, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Funeral service to be held 10:00am Friday, March 20th at Edwards Funeral Home. Following the service, Barbara will be laid to rest at Oak Cemetery.
