Bessie Lou Griffin, 82, of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born December 21, 1929 in Fort Smith to Clarence and Emma Sharp. She was retired management from the White Spot Restaurant on Rogers Avenue. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Emma Sharp and her brother Clarence Leroy Sharp.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Pavilion at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Chaplain Morrie Kool officiating. Burial will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years George R. Griffin, Jr., two sons Gregory R. Griffin and wife Becky of Fort Smith and Ronald David Griffin and wife Renaye of Fort Smith, three grandchildren Karen Von Griffin, Jeffery Bryan Dahlem and finacee Courtney Woodhams and Matthew Hays and one great granddaughter Brittani Renaye Stevens.
Pallbearers will be members of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
