She is survived by her husband Carroll Newman of Greenwood; one daughter, Rebecca Steele of Greenwood, AR; one son, Michael Newman of Fort Smith; four sisters, Louise Harris of Tampa, FL., Melba Goodin of Fort Smith, Lorraine Britt of Jenny Lind, AR., and Joanne Carlile of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Steele, Aaron Phillips, Chris Williams, Jerry Phillips, Willie Roark, Jeremy Hall, and Ray Newman.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM
