Brenda Lou Smith, 57, of Fort Smith, passed from this life September 15, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born, December 18, 1959, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Francis and Annie Smith. Brenda had worked as a leasing agent for Harbortown Apartments and was of the Baptist faith. Brenda was loved by all that knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly McCormick of Fort Smith; her mother, Ann Shepherd and her husband Russell of Fort Smith; her sister, Shelia Smith of Fort Smith; two nephews, Steven Christenson and his wife Cortney, and Trenton Kittrell; two great nephews, Beau and Wyatt Christenson, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. And we shall not forget Brenda’s little companion, more than a pet, Toby. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Smith; and her brother, Thomas Smith.
A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
