

On May 18, 1940 he married Virginia Bell Crow.
He was a shipping clerk for Reynolds Davis Grocery and then became a salesman for that company. He eventually became a salesman for McCormick Spice company and continued with that company until his retirement. Buck was not satisfied sitting around and continued to work for Pavey Foods, Car Sales, and Abilities Unlimited.
As a young man he was an active church member teaching Bible Study and singing. He sang with the Pixley Quartet and led music in several churches where he was a member in Arkansas and Illinois. He also served in the Deacon Ministry in churches where he was a member.
He had been a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and was presently a member of Skyline Baptist Church in Branson, Missouri.
He is survived by his son Rev. David Church, and daughter-in-law Beverly of Branson, MO, Two grandsons, Pastor, Jon Church and wife Debra of Sedalia, MO and their children, Nathan, Micah, and Natalie, and grandson Pastor Jason Church and wife Kimberly of Fort Worth, Texas and their children Keagan, Abby, Seth, and Levi. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Alma Faye McTyre and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were sisters Ollie and husband Curt Cooper, Ida and husband Bob McAfee. Elsie and husband Leslie, brother Jim and wife Jewel Church, and twin brother Arlie and wife Earlene Church.
Funeral services will be Friday June 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith. Officiating will be Rev. Jon Church and Rev. Jason Church.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. before the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Church, Micah Church, Keagan Church, Randy McTyre, Rick McTyre, and Bobbie McAfee. Honorary Pallbearers are Monty McTyre and Gary Watson.
