Carole D. Avis, 79, of Fort Smith, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, in Fort Smith. She was born March 31, 1936 in Lincoln, AR. She was a retired Secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Pavilion at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with burial to follow at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Chester of the home; one daughter, Caressa Avis of Aubrey, TX; three sons, Carvel Avis of West Monroe, LA, Craig Avis of Fort Smith and Chris Avis of Denton, TX; one sister, Earlene Copeland of Van Buren; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
