Charles Raymond Emmert, 65, of Greenwood, died August 10, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born September 26, 1951 in Fort Smith, AR to Arthur Raymond and Helen Isabelle Strickland Horsley. He was a truck driver and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Jerri Emmert of the home; one daughter, Ashley Emmert of Champaign, IL; two sons, Jerimy and wife Jaclyn Emmert of Panama, OK and David and wife Melinda Minks of Van Buren, AR; step mother, Lee Ora Emmert of Rudy, AR; one sister, Leotta Ponder of Mountainburg, AR; and brother, Jimmy Franklin of Fort Smith.
Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 12:30 PM in Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Franklin, Jerimy Emmert, and grandsons, Blake Emmert, Dalton Emmert, Dylan Emmert and Austin Emmert.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
