Damon Wayne Boyd, 50, of Fort Smith, passed from this life January 17, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born March 1, 1971, in Fort Smith, to Don Boyd and Della Belue Boyd. Damon had worked for Parks and Recreation for the city of Fort Smith. His love for his family was immeasurable. But it was his passions that fueled his daily life; Precious, his fur friend, companion and comfort for the last 18 years; music, a talent that should’ve taken him to Nashville; NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys, no explanation needed. His larger than life laugh and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him.
Damon is survived by his mother, Della Boyd; his brother, Tommy Boyd; as well as several nieces, great nieces and nephews and uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his dad Don Boyd, his paternal grandparents, Ted and Gladys Boyd, his maternal grandfather, Argus Belue and maternal grandmother Bea Hull.
A Celebration of Damon’s life will be 11:00am Friday, January 21, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Damon’s name, to Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House or the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
