Daniel Lakowski

Daniel Lakowski, 74 of Fort Smith, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017. He was born August 31, 1942 in Michigan City, Indiana. He was a retired respiratory therapist for Mercy Hospital and a retired U.S. Army veteran, and had previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery, with full military honors.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, of the home; a daughter, Brandie Williams (Justin) of Fort Smith; three step-daughters, Loveina Wallace (Daniel) of Pocola, Debbie King of Fort Smith and Billie Huggins (Jeramy) of Ratcliff. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Cindy, CaSandra, Carl, David, Josh, Rick, Tanya, Emily, Allison, Lillian, Travis, Kyle and J.D.; eight great grandchildren, Catelynn, Christina, Chase, Emerald, Karidi, Genevieve, Payton and Allie.

Pallbearers will be Justin Williams, Sammy Johnston, Mark Wait, Jeramy Huggins, Danny Wallace and Justin T. Williams.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
