Debra “Debbie” Ann Griffin, 66, of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on September 29, 1959, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, to the late Jack Bowen and the late JoAnn Brown. Debbie brought warmth, kindness, and quiet strength into every life she touched.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph Griffin, the love of her life and her steadfast companion. She leaves behind her daughter, Melinda Griffin (Amanda) of Barling; her son, Andrew Griffin (Lisa) of Fort Smith; her brother, Eddie Bowen; and two sisters, Tina Brewer (Barry) and Terri Arredondo (Michael), all of Lavaca. Debbie was a proud and devoted grandmother to Haley Moore and Ryan Moore, who were the absolute lights of her life. She also cherished her many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews, each one holding a special place in her heart.
For 19 years, Debbie worked as a Verifier at Weldon, Williams & Lick, where she was appreciated for her dedication, attention to detail, and the kindness she showed her coworkers. She retired in 2020 to spend more precious time with the people she loved most—her family.
Debbie lived her life with a deep and abiding faith. She was a woman of remarkable compassion, selflessness, and quiet strength. Those who knew her will remember her comforting presence, her tender heart, and the way she always put others before herself. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her family, sharing laughter, stories, and moments that became treasured memories.
The beach was her happy place—a source of peace, joy, and renewal. The sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun were where she felt closest to God and at her most serene.
Debbie was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where her faith deepened and guided her throughout her life.
