Dorothy Mae Turner

Dorothy Mae Turner, 95, of Fort Smith, passed from this life November 8, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born December 15, 1920, in Fort Smith, to the late Roy and Effie Turner. She was the Secretary/Treasurer for Arkansas Valley Insurance Company, later known as Phillips, Foltz and Pryor Insurance Company. She also volunteered, with her sister Ruth, at RSVP.

She is survived by her niece, Pat Espy and her husband Rick of Van Buren; her nephews, Michael Hayes and his wife Vickie of Flower Mound, Texas and Larry Turner and his wife Missy of St. Louis, Missouri; her great niece, Jayne McGinnis and her husband Brett of Fort Smith; a great nephew, Ryan Remilliard and his wife Misty of Alma, Arkansas; six great great nieces and nephews, Mikey, Andrea, Madison, Hayden, Pierce and Eden, as well as her sister-in-law, Betty Turner if Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Turner and Marvin Turner, and her sister Ruth Ann Hayes.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, November 11, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Oak Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home.

Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
