Dustin was loved by those he left behind, his mother, Debbie Hicks; his father, Stan Hattabaugh; and his other mother, Tanya Hattabaugh; his brothers, Brandon Hattabaugh (Aimee) and Erik Batt; his sisters, Tara Sandusky (Tyler) and Kaetlyn McGrew (Brian); and his step-brother and sister, Michael and Holly Hicks; his nephews, Justin and Tyler Hattabaugh, and Denver Sandusky; his nieces, Haylee McAdams and Anna Grace Hattabaugh; his grandparents, Seth and Betty Hattabaugh, Nancy Bradt, and Gary Burris. He was also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special cousin, Amber Coats, and many friends.
Dustin fought hard to overcome his afflictions. He was not defined by his disease. He was known for his contagious smile, his witty humor, his professional cooking skills, his love for reading, and his kind soul. Dustin knew Jesus and he is now free of pain. He is healed and now watching over his family. May he rest peacefully.
In lieu of flowers, his family ask that you donate in his memory to The Good Samaritan Clinic (he called them his angels), The Next Step Dayroom or the Hope Campus, so that they may assist those that have found themselves in similar situations that Dustin himself experienced.
