Gary Don Reed Sr.

Gary Don Reed, Sr., 68, of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012, in Fort Smith. He was born January 20, 1944 in Norfolk, VA to Arch and Beulah Reed. He was a salesman for J. A. Riggs Tractor Company. He was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church, V.F.W. and D.A.V. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Arnold and Gerald Reed.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2012, at the Pavilion at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Dr. Kent Sweatman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Doris of the home, one daughter Anita W. Griffin and husband Timmy of Fayetteville, NC, two sons James Lucine Williams of Van Buren, AR and Gary Don Reed, Jr. and wife Pamela of Spiro, OK, eight grandchildren Evan Morris, Donna Griffin, Timothy Griffin, Brianna Reed, Elizabeth Reed, Autumn Reed, Amber Christensen and Gary Don Reed, III.

Pallbearers will be Steve Almond, Paul Walker, Larry Biggs, Murl Strunks, Jimmy Cox and Darrell Taylor.
