Helene Porter

She was born August 28, 1933, in Amsterdam, New York, to the late Steve and Helen (Subik) Benosky. Helene was a licensed practical nurse for Methodist Health and Rehabilitation.

She is survived by her six children, daughter, Mary Lou Watson and husband Kurt of Lafayette, New York; son, William Neal Porter III of Melbourne, Florida, son, Stephen Porter of Fort Smith, Arkansas, son, Peter Porter of London, Arkansas, son, Thomas Porter and wife Denise of Greenbrier, Arkansas; and daughter, Elizabeth Fletcher of Rogers, Arkansas.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Krzys of Fort Ann, New York; and her brother, James Benosky of Burlington, Vermont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Darcy Mullen, Athena Schneider, Justin Porter, Colton Porter, Paige McPeake, Taylor Woods, Austin Porter; and by her great grand children.

She is the widow of William Neal Porter, Jr.

A memorial graveside service will be 11:00am Friday, November 4, 2016 at the U.S. National Cemetery Pavilion. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
