

Mr. Due was a native of Atlanta, Georgia, the oldest son of Homer and Elizabeth Due. Mr. Due graduated from Sandy Springs High School in 1964. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US ARMY RESERVE and attended basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and advanced training at Ft Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He served for six years in the 3297th US ARMY HOSPITAL as a Medical Specialist achieving the rank of SP5 before being honorably discharged in June 1970. He attended the University of Georgia.
He moved from Atlanta to Ft. Smith, Arkansas in early 1976 and was self- employed. Homer Jr. was a long time active supporter of St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis where was a member of the St Jude Society. Additionally, he was a supporter of the Arkansas Children's Hospital. Mr. Due was actively engaged for over 30 years with the Old Ft. Days Rodeo and Barrel Futurity. He served on the committee and was a trustee.
Mr. Due was preceded in death by his wife, Arby Due and parents, Homer and Elizabeth Due.
He leaves behind a brother, John Due of Atlanta and a step- daughter, Rhonda Riddle of Ft. Smith as well as a number of cousins.
