Jacqueline Viviette Moore, 69, of Fort Smith passed from this life July 5, 2019 in Fort Smith. She was born October 5, 1949, in Danville, Arkansas, to the late J. W. and Jackie Davis. Jacqueline was a graduate of Southside High School, and then graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University. After college, Jacqueline became the first kindergarten teacher with Mountainburg Schools. She also taught in the Arkoma School District. After teaching, Jacqueline was a case worker for Arkansas Social Services. She loved being a member of Amen Baptist Church and the Laotian Ministry.
Jacqueline was strong in her faith. She loved cross-stitching and watching wrestling and old movies and she was passionate about organizing and cleaning. She really enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved being Mimi to Alex and Loren. She delighted in playing with her dog “Jake”. She was the best Mama and wife anyone could ask for. She always had a smile on her face and hug for everyone.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Moore; her daughter, Christy Moore and her companion Mark Duarte; honorary daughter and grandchildren, Denise Rambo, Alex and Loren; brothers, John Davis and wife Brenda of Norman, Oklahoma and Paul Davis and wife Jodie of Greenwood, Arkansas; sister, Paula Fischer of Knoxville, Arkansas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Amen Baptist Church, 2400 North 28th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904 (on the corner of Midland Blvd and North 28th Street). Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday July 8 and Tuesday July 9. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday, July 10 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
