James L. Beaty, 72, of Springdale, was born in Fort Smith on October 6, 1946 to James W. Beaty and Edna Mae Bonner Beaty. He left this life in order to enter his eternal life on February 20, 2019. He worked at Tyson Foods for more than 40 years before retiring.
Jim loved and adored his family. His favorite pastime was watching Razorback sports, baseball being his favorite. The University of Arkansas Marching Band held a special place in his heart and he would watch them perform as often as possible. He was a proud and dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Arkansas for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jerl Dean, of 46 years; two sons, Christopher Beaty and wife Clare of Hot Springs, AR; Jonathan Beaty and wife Emily of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Luke, Owen, Lucy, Brooke and Lauren Beaty.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at 2:05 p.m. Monday, February 25th, 2019 at Woodlawn Mausoleum Chapel.
