Jerry Bob Hanson

Jerry Bob Hanson, 73, of Vian, OK passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 in his home. He was born February 7, 1941, to Marjorie and Jim Bill Hanson in Fort Smith. He attended Fort Smith High School, Westark College, and attended Oklahoma State University on a rodeo and baseball scholarship. He was a three time IPRA Rodeo World Champion calf roper.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Annette Hanson of Vian; one son, Jim Hanson and wife Kelley of Fayetteville; one daughter, Becky Horn and her husband Wesley of Hiwasse, AR; two stepsons, Jon and Chip Hamilton of Vian; one brother, Bill Hanson and wife Kristy of Fort Smith; granddaughters, Falon Hanson, Jordan White and Ashleigh Horn; and nephew Blake Hanson and niece Mia Hanson.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Rick Neal, Rick Shockley, Gary (Fuzz) Howard, Barry Burk, Dub Grant, Kermit Walsh, Dr. Neill Treece, Dwight Graham and Jack Foreman.

Visitation will be Monday, November 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Edwards Funeral Home.
