Jessie Evelyn Fleming, 90, of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was born February 4, 1925 in Fort Smith to the late Elmer and Dora Dewitt Kirkland. She was a homemaker and a former long time volunteer in the outpatient clinic at St. Edwards Hospital. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Fleming and Kenneth Barnard, her daughter, Betty Lou Landrum and a son, James Dennis Fleming.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son Jerry W. Fleming and wife Karen of Fort Smith, five grandchildren Shari Black (Greg) of Los Angeles, CA, Sarah Easley (Mark) of St. Louis, MO, Steven Landrum (Nicole) of Harrison, AR, Scott Landrum (Amanda) of New Mexico and Daniel Fleming of Little Rock and seven great grandchildren.
