Jimmy “Jay” Gipson, 73, of Central City, Arkansas, passed from this life January 28, 2015 in Central City. He was born September 22, 1941 in Fort Smith. Jay worked as a painter. He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Fielder and husband Darryl and Kathryn Lock; his son David Gipson and wife Terri; three sisters, Luthena Hudson and husband Jim, Charlene Kelly and husband Lonnie and Mary Sherman; three brothers, Raymond Gipson and wife Nancy, Idus Gipson and wife Veda and Boyd Gipson and wife Alice; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10:00am Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
