Jo Ann was my sweet friend. We shared many laughs and good conversations together. The last time I went to see her I brought her a frappe from McDonald's but when I got to her room she was sleeping so soundly I didn't have the heart to wake her so I just left figuring I'd be back to see her again soon, but there not a next time or well yes there will actually be a next time but not in this earth. She had the greatest "hello" on the phone. I always loved to hear her say "Hello" it was the most cheery hello I've ever heard. I will look forward to her "hello" when I see her in heaven. My prayers with family during this time. I just now found out today that she had passed. I'm sad, but happy for Jo Ann in her new body. I will miss you my sweet friend.

I will always remember Mrs. Owens being so kind to me and how beautiful her smile was that reached her eyes.
Being Janie’s best friend growing up, I saw and visited the Owens family many times and they always made me feel welcome.
I'm so sorry for your loss David, sending prayers to you and your family.

So sad to read about your Mother, David. I recall her shopping at Kmart on Zero Street so many years, long before you started working there. May God give you & your family the comfort that only He can give!!

Jo Ann always had the sweetest smile, and I don't think she ever got angry. We were so blessed that someone who was such a loving mother lived right next door and babysit the girls when they were babies. Wonderful memories of all of you. So sorry for your loss.
