Jo Sampson

Faye Josephine (Jo) Stone Sampson, 80, of Fort Smith departed this life Friday, November 30, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born October 21, 1932 in Malvern, AR to the late Jesse and Lelah Rucker Stone. She was a loving mother and devoted homemaker. Jo leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Gwinn L. Sampson; three daughters, Gwendolyn Sampson Holloway and husband Randy, Connie Sampson Brewer and JoAnn Sampson Montgomery and husband Tony, all of Fort Smith; two brothers Wayne Stone of Malvern, AR and Bill Stone of Texarkana, TX; four sisters, Joy Gore and Valerie Wiley of Malvern, AR, Diane Carver of Glen Rose, AR and Carolyn Morris of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren, Kyle and Justin Bray, Tristian Honey, Adrian Brewer, Jonathan Montgomery, Ryan Foster and wife Tara; four great grandchildren, Hayden and Haley Bray and Averi and Allee Foster as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two brothers Jesse Stone Jr and Darrell “Karo” Stone. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 1:00PM in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 5:00-7:00PM at Edwards Funeral Home. Private entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park mausoleum.
