John Joseph Bauer

John Joseph Bauer, 92 of Ft. Smith, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015. He was born March 15, 1923 in Ratcliff, AR to the late John and Katherine Bauer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was retired from Wortz Bakery. He loved his family, was an avid sports fan and loved to go fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Bauer, two sisters; Marie Leding and Elizabeth Geels, and his four brothers; Mathias, Boniface, Thomas, and Lawrence Bauer.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Monday, December 28, 2015 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Mr. Bauer is survived by four daughters; Lisa Barlow and her husband Roger of Russellville, Linda Hughes and her husband Bill of Tulsa, OK, Elaine Beaver of Paris, and Loretta Collins and her husband Robert of Ft. Smith, one sister; Catherine Walbe, his eight Grandchildren, and one Great Grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be J.T. Barlow, Adam Wade, Dakota Wade, Dustin Beaver, Zachary Collins and Logan Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Christina Bauer, Andrea McClung, and Jack Irie.
