Juanita Nichols

Juanita “Nita” Nichols, 86, passed away January 10, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born February 27, 1926 in Short, OK to Feris and Sallie Ann (Summerhill) Parker. She was a retired waitress for Pagliacci’s Restaurant, was a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle, and was a caregiver for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Sally McElroy of Allen, TX and Sheila Pannell and her husband John David, of Mulberry, AR; one son, Leon Wood of Mulberry, AR; three grandsons, James Wood of Van Buren, AR, Tim Wood of Roland, OK, and Scott Robinson of Muldrow, OK; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Shannon Daniels, James and Tim Wood, Kevin Peoples, Mike Conner, and Preston Dubina.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: John David Pannell, Ricky Conley, David Albertson, Gerry Sansing, Butch Baker, and Walt Dubina.

Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
