God saw she was getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her,
And whispered, "Come with me."
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer,
And saw her fade away
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the very best.
A million times we thought of you
a million times we cried, if love alone
could have saved you, you never would
have died. In life we loved you dearly;
in death we love you still, In our hearts
you hold a special place no one else
can ever fill.
It broke our hearts to loose you, but Mother
you did not go alone, for most of us went with you
that day God took you home to Heaven.
