Kris Douglas Hunley

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2nd at 10:00am at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel , with Jason Krohn officiating the service. The family will greet friends following the service.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, December 1, 2010 , from 8:00 AM- 8:00 PM. at Edwards Funeral Home.

Kris was born August 22, 1977 in Oklahoma City, OK to Vicki and Kieth Hunley. He was married to Staci Boone Hunley in 1999. Kris and Staci had a daughter, Jade, in 2000 and a little boy, Kruizer, in 2004. The Hunley family has been a part of the Ft. Smith community since 2008.

Kris graduated from University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004. He was a LCDR for the U.S. Public Health Service and was working as Chief Pharmacist for the Choctaw Nation Indian Clinic located in Stigler. OK.

Kris is also survived by his parents; Vicki and Kieth Hunley of Norman, OK, one sister; Jami and her husband Scotty Riddle, of Oklahoma City, and their two daughters, Whitnee Bosley and Khloe Riddle. He is also survived by his grandparents; Mattie Hunley, and Kenneth and Anita Turner all from Ada , OK .

Kris was loved and is survived by Staci’s extended family; her parents; Ted and Lonni Boone of Burns Flat, OK, her brother, Tad Boone and three nephews, Hunter, Axton, and Hayden Boone all from Burns Flat.

Kris loved spending time with his wife and kids, and in his free time he enjoyed playing golf.

Kris was preceded in death by his grandfather K.D. Hunley, and also by his uncle, Kenny Turner.
