

Larry Nottingham, 77, of Greenwood, AR, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, at Peachtree Palliative Care Unit at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR. He was born September 14, 1940 in Decatur, IL to the late Edward and Elizabeth Nottingham. He was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of the Vietnam War. After Larry retired from the Marine Corps, he became a nurse to help people get well in the VA Hospital. Larry was a lifetime member of the DAV, American Legion and a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Greenwood. His son, Larry Nelson Nottingham, preceded him in death.
Larry’s proudest family moments was watching his wife become an American Citizen, and his daughter, Kasey, graduate from college. Larry loved watching his wife singing at church and seeing his grandson, Vincent; daughter, Kasey; and son Brandon. Larry enjoyed playing golf with his friends, including Ted.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Larry is survived by his wife, Alicia Nottingham; daughter/granddaughter, Kasey Nottingham of Fort Smith; son/grandson, Brandon Hart of Fort Smith and grandson/great grandson, Vincent Wells.
The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
