

Dr. Leo Davenport, 75, passed away October 13, 2010. He was born July 12, 1935 in Weeks, AR to Jimmy and Minnie Davenport. He was a well respected Pathologist for 30 years with Laboratory Medicine Associates, and was a member of the Sebastian County Medical Society. He loved the medical profession. Leo was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was an avid Razorback fan, and enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, fishing, scuba diving, and squirrel hunting. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife; June, 2 daughters; Lisa Davenport and Laura Dahn, both of Fort Smith, 1 son; Karl Davenport of Arkadia, AR, 3 sisters; Willa Mae Winters of Cameron, OK, Janice Hull of Coffeyville, KS, Margie Briggs of Porum, OK, 1 brother; Myron Davenport and his wife Norma, of Lovings, OK, 3 grandchildren; Taylor and Langer Dahn of Fort Smith, and John David Davenport of Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Evan Davenport.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, October, 15, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy and Chris Davenport, Gary and Harold Briggs, Rusty and Chuck Hull.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. Calvin Cassady, Dr. Gene Girkin, Dr. Tom Raymond, Dr. Al McDade, Wayne Swafford, and Dr. Eric Taft.
