Lola Katherine Sharp Thibodeaux

Lola Katherine (Sharp) Thibodeaux, 80, of Muldrow, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. She is preceded in death by a sister, Velda Moonyham and a brother, Loyd Wayne Sharp. Lola was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, and attended different churches in the area. She loved singing and playing the guitar. She also had a great love for all children, especially spoiling her own children and grandchildren. Lola is survived by her husband, of 61 years, John, whom she met in 1949, while he was stationed at Fort Chaffee, and became the love of her life. She has one daughter, Sherry Jones, of Short, Oklahoma and four sons, John, of Ozark, Arkansas and Gary, Jerry, and Ronnie, all of Short, Oklahoma. She also has a brother, Charles Sharp, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and three sister, Loretta Sanders, of Muldrow, Shirley Roam, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Betty Russell, of Roland Oklahoma. Sixteen grandchildren and thirty eight, great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 O’clock AM, on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at the Muldrow Church of God, with interment to follow, in Gill Cemetery, in Van Buren, Arkansas. The visitation will be held Wednesday, July16, 2014, between the hours of 6 and 8 O’clock PM, in the chapel of Fentress Mortuary.

Pallbearers will be Daniel, Nathaniel, Avon, Brandon, and Josh Thibodeaux, and Daniel Collins. Honorary pallbearer is Jason Russell.

Memorials may be sent to the Roland or Muldrow, Oklahoma area Pentecostal Churches of one’s choice.
