Margaret (Eastham) Curry Reed

Margaret (Eastham) Curry Reed, 87, passed away April 21, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born December 6, 1925 in Tyro, AR to the late Sam and Maggie (Price) Eastham. She was a retired Accountant with C & L Electric Coop in Star City, AR. Margaret was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and she also volunteered with Mercy Hospice. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by husbands, William E. Curry and William D. Reed. She was also preceded by one grandson, Michael Jay Reed; her daughter-in-law, Vicki Ann Reed; and five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Dr. William E. Curry Jr. and wife Donna of Fort Smith, and William Bernard Reed of Searcy; one daughter, Gloria Gail Porter and her husband Charles of St. Augustine, FL; six grandchildren, Lisa Curry, Dr. Mike Curry, Matt Curry, Kathy Curry Farver, Tony Reed, and Drew Reed; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2013 , at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith. Burial will be 12 Noon Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Leek-Drake Cemetery in Star City, AR. Services and burial are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the Mass from 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM Tuesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
