Nora Irene Willis

N. Irene Willis, 90 of Ft. Smith passed away Friday, August 11, 2017. She was born September 15, 1926 in Tulia, TX to the late James and Hattie Knowles. She was a member of West Ark Church of Christ. She was trained as an electrical engineer but later in life became a math teacher in order to put her kids through college. She loved to garden and take pictures. She was preceded in death by her husband James Harold Willis, her son George Willis, and her three brothers; Allen, Durwood, and Doyle Knowles.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2017 at West Ark Church of Christ with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Mrs. Willis is survived by two daughters; Rennie Williams and her husband Rick of Panama, OK, and Suzanne Willis of Ft. Smith, her three sons; James Harold Willis, Jr. and his wife Rosa of Orange Beach, AL, Mark Allen Willis and his wife Kim of Ft. Smith, and William Thomas Willis also of Ft. Smith and her sister Bobbie Jean Hodge of Dallas, TX as well as 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim, Mark, and William Willis, Matthew and Aaron Henderson, Gabe Willis, and Brett Chapman.

The family will receive guests 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
