Richard Lee Abbott

Richard Lee Abbott, 66 of Muldrow, OK passed away on August 26, 2022. Richard was the first baby born in Fort Smith, AR on January 1, 1956 to Jerry Wheeler and Alice Magby. Richard live his whole life in the Fort Smith/ Muldrow area. In his first marriage he had two children Moses and Christina Abbott. Then in 1981 he married Deborah and together they raised two boys Brock Reather and Josh Abbott, later in life they had been raising their two grandchildren Allyson and Jacob Abbott . Richard worked as a lineman at Whirlpool and retired after 37 years of dedication.

Richard loved all sports, especially NASCAR and was the biggest Razorback fan you could find. You could always find him with his matching bandanas, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them all he knew.

Richard will be missed by his wife Deborah Abbott, children Moses Abbott, Christina Abbott, Brock (Maggie) Reather, and Josh Abbott, Brother Michael Perea, multiple grandchildren, and best friends Allen and Pam Bivins.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Jerry Wheeler and Alice Magby.
