Robert "Bob" J. Mulson

Robert “Bob” J. Mulson, Jr., 66, of Fort Smith died Monday, June 21, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born March 14, 1944 in Fort Smith to Robert J. and Dorothy Bercher Mulson. Bob was Chief Financial Officer of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Company with 23 years of service and retired December 31, 2002. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran. Bob was an alumnus of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He was a Certified Public Accountant in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. He served on the Fort Smith City Planning Commission from 1992 to 2002. Bob loved the game of golf and was instrumental in starting the First Tee Organization for children in Fort Smith. Bob lived most of his life in Fort Smith and enjoyed skeet shooting, duck hunting, golf and later fishing at his beloved Wofford Lake. He will be missed by his family and dearest friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda of 45 years; one daughter, Cindy and husband Scott Stoens of Sandwich, Illinois; two sons, Troy and wife Kim of Lakeland, Florida and Marcus Mulson of Fort Smith; his mother Dorothy Mulson of Fort Smith; two brothers, Gary Mulson of Booneville, Arkansas and Johnny Mulson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and three beloved Labrador Retrievers. He was preceded in death by one brother David Mulson of Fort Smith.

Memorial service will be Friday, June 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Services and Cremation under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM
